Hey bru! I’m Dan Mace. If my name sounds somewhat familiar, that’s probably because you’ve seen my YouTube videos like my ‘Seeing Sounds’ series, where I remake songs by using everyday objects to record the sounds. For instance, I once played The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’ with bricks and Justin Bieber’s ‘Peaches’ with...peaches.
Back when I was a young creative (I’m still creative but maybe not so young anymore), I really struggled with finding my voice and translating my ideas through visual storytelling. So, I understand how that feels. Since then, together with my team, I've built a YouTube channel with over 35 million views and have made short films and commercials that won multiple awards at Cannes Lion, 1.4 Director Showcase, and the African Cristal Festival Grand Prix. Now that I’ve been in the industry for 10 years, I’m so keen to share all those lessons with other creative minds!
